off-island mommy

the daunting task of parenting is always inherently new - that someone would know exactly what to do while raising their kid(s) is hardly an expectation. my adult in college, my four tweens, and toddler-baby - all new-at-this-moment and simultaneous insure that our multi-parenting lives will never be short on stories.

the insurmountable level of parenting we've had to do in the last four years would consistently have to be considered on a curve. we went from 1 kid to 6 kids in a span of 15 months! when we first met, my pre-husband and i knew that we had significant gaps to fill in each other's roles as parents.  we went from parenting one twelve year old, and then three years later we ballooned into a family of seven having to add the 4-pack into the mix...and lastly there was the new baby which made everything feel like our first kid all over again. this is what provoked my family-blogging-venture: that beyond the family stereotypes out there, our off-island family is the culmination of so many things at once.
